WELLSBORO, PA – On Friday, August 7th, during the Senor Expo at the Wellsboro High School Dr. Andrew Sayre, MD, received the Matt Baker Community Service Award in recognition of his lifelong dedication to serving others. For many years, Dr. Sayre has faithfully served as an emergency room physician at UPMC Wellsboro Hospital while also serving as a leader in his church.
According to Representative Clint Owlett, Dr. Sayre coached numerous youth and middle school sports, , mentoring countless young athletes, from 1990 to 2010. His dedication to local athletics was recently recognized with his induction into the Wellsboro Athletics Hall of Fame.
Dr. Sayre’s lifelong commitment to serving others makes him a truly deserving recipient of the Matt Baker Community Service Award.
