Learning Tree of Wellsboro Achieves a STAR 4 Rating – Release – Monday, September 22 2025.

WELLSBORO, PA – The Learning Tree Board of Directors is delighted to share some exciting news with the local area. Their center located at 1 Queen Street in Wellsboro has officially achieved a STAR 4 rating through Pennsylvania’s Keystone STARS program!

This is the highest level of recognition for early learning programs in the state, and it reflects their unwavering commitment to providing your child with the very best in care, education, and support.

Research shows that children who attend a quality child care or early learning program enter kindergarten ready to learn, perform better in school, and are more likely to graduate from high school, pursue higher education, and secure meaningful careers.

What does a STAR 4 rating mean for your family?

Keystone STARS evaluates child care and early learning programs from STAR 1 to STAR 4, based on quality standards that matter most to families. Achieving a STAR 4 rating signifies The Learning Tree is meeting the highest benchmarks in:

Staff Education: Their teachers have advanced training in early childhood development and continue to grow professionally to support your child’s success.

Classroom Environment: They provide rich, age-appropriate learning experiences that inspire curiosity and nurture a love of learning every day.

Family & Community Engagement: They actively partner with families and community members to support each child’s growth and development.

Leadership & Management: The center follows strong business practices to ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for every child.

You will continue to see your child laughing, exploring, creating, and learning in a setting designed to help them thrive-academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Learning Tree Board of Directors are incredibly proud of this achievement, and recognize it would not have been possible without your trust and partnership. Thank you for being part of our community and for allowing us to share in your child’s early learning journey.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Amy Ford-Weisman, Executive Director of The Learning Tree of Wellsboro, and to our entire staff, for their dedication and commitment in bringing this accomplishment to fruition.
