LAWRENCEVILLE, PA – (UPDATE) Lawrenceville Borough remains under a water boil advisory due to a water main break last week that occurred around 6:30 PM, Thursday evening, April 9, 2026. At that time, the water main break affected Ryon Circle and Weaver Street in the borough. An area that has experienced a past water main break.
Although crews completed the needed repairs there was a loss in positive pressure which put everyone in Lawrenceville under a Boil Water Advisory. The loss of positive pressure can allow contaminants to enter the water distribution system through backflow by back-pressure or back-siphonage. This make sis what water unsafe to drink due to possibility of contaminants and bacteria that entering the water.
Residents should boil their water for at least 2 minutes to make it safe for use. Use caution if transferring hot water to another container to use.

According to Tioga County Local Emergency Manager D Lewis, Lawrenceville remains under a water advisory. Presently there is testing to be completed. Hopefully everything comes back as it should and the Boil Water Advisory can be lifted sometime on Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2026.
