Fatal Crash in Bradford County

BRADFORD COUNTY, PA – A 78-year-old man lost his life in a two vehicle crash on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Towanda Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police based in Towanda, a two vehicle accident occurred on SR 220 near its intersection with Hemlock Road around 9:33 PM.

It was stated by police that 42-year-old Amanda G. Richlin of Dushore, PA, was traveling north on SR 220 in her 2016 Nissan Murano when she crossed the double yellow divider line into the
southbound lane of travel. At the same time, 78-year-old Boyce E. Northrup, was traveling south in a Ford vehicle with his 75-year-old wife, Jean Norhrup, and their grandson, 39-year-old Christopher Northrup, all of Monroeton, PA, when they were struck in the 11 O’clock position by Richlin.

Richlin’s Nissan came to a final rest facing south in the northbound lane of travel. Meanwhile Northrup’s Ford vehicle came to rest facing north off the westbound side of SR 220.

Both lanes of travel were closed down during the investigation.

Amanda Richlin was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, for treatment of possible serious injuries. Tragically Boyce Northrup was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. His wife was suspected of suffering serious injuries was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. The other passenger, Christopher Northrup was also transported to Robert Packer Hospital for treatment of his injures.

Police noted that this investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed relating to this accident, at this time.
