BRADFORD COUNTY, PA – 36-year-old Tara Renee Smith of Elmira, NY, was sentenced back in March to no less than 292 days to a maximum of 23 months and 29 days in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, along with seven years of concurrent probation, as well as a $500.00 fine along with reimbursement to the Drug Task Force.
Smith was sentenced for Possession with Intent to Deliver 30 grams of Methamphetamine.
Tara Smith was charged in connection with a lengthy investigation involving Officer Jason Bailey of the Athens Township Police Department and the Bradford County Drug Task Force.
Smith had a very limited criminal history, making a sentence of county incarceration appropriate. The lengthy concurrent probation, however, can be revoked if Smith reoffends and she can be sentenced to state incarceration.
