MORRIS, PA – On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Morris Fire and EMS units responded to a single vehicle accident where a dump truck was reported on its side blocking the entire roadway around 2:20 PM.
The crash occurred in the area of 2077 Nauvoo Road in Morris Township, PA.
Fire personnel was on scene within minutes of the crash as the arrived by 2:23 PM. At that time, personnel confirmed that a dump was flipped over on its side.
It was leaned later that the truck involved was a Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., dump truck which was loaded with asphalt at the time of the accident. Another dump truck responded to the scene to assist.
Morris ambulance personnel would check out the injured female driver. The woman who had been wearing her seat belt was able to exit her vehicle by herself before any emergency crews arrived. By 2:45 PM the female patient was transported by the ambulance crew to UPMC Wellsboro Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of her injuries.
Pennsylvania State Police out of Lycoming County, PA arrived on scene by just before 3:00 PM to run their investigation into the accident.
By 3:39 PM Morris fire crews were able to head back to their station as the scene was turned over to a PennDOT supervisor and crew.
