LAWRENCEVILLE, PA – Dentist Chelsea Manns, DDS, has joined Laurel Health’s dental team. She is seeing patients at the Laurel Dental Lawrenceville office, located within the Lawrenceville Laurel Health Center at 32 East Lawrence Rd. in Lawrenceville, PA.
Dr. Manns provides comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages through preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Her services include thorough diagnostic evaluations, tooth and gum treatments, fillings, crowns, bridges, endodontics, oral surgery, and proactive education to help patients maintain healthy teeth and gums.
She’d known from a young age that she’d like to pursue a career in medicine, but Dr. Manns hadn’t expected to fall in love with dentistry. When she shadowed her personal dentist to learn more about the discipline, she discovered dental medicine to be a perfect combination of her love of art, science, and helping others.
“The most rewarding part of my job is changing someone’s life for the better, even in the smallest way—when I help an anxious patient become more comfortable seeing a dentist, when I can get someone out of pain, or when I fix a broken tooth that someone was insecure about, it is really gratifying. It really keeps me going,” Dr. Manns shares.
Passionate about patient education and preventive care, Dr. Manns connects personally with each patient to equip them with tools and knowledge to protect their smile. “I don’t just want to treat cavities; I want to help stop them from happening in the first place,” she explains. “I aim to get to know all my patients and understand their needs. Together, we walk through different tools they can use to improve their dental health. I review flossing and brushing techniques, types of toothbrushes and toothpastes, how food and drinks affect teeth, and routines that can help them reach their dental health goals.”
Dr. Manns earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Widener University in Chester, PA, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University’s College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. She completed her residency at Rochester University’s Eastman Institute of Oral Health in Rochester, NY.
In her free time, Dr. Manns enjoys arts and crafts, exploring festivals and restaurants with her fiancée Dustin, making outfits and accessories, hiking, playing tabletop games, riding her bike, spending time with her cats Nora and Eik, and visiting family.
