UPDATE – North Schodac Road and South Schodac Road will remain closed until the end of the day Friday, September 12, 2025. The long-term detours will be removed at that time.
MANSFIELD, PA – (Update) Traffic will be switching on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the area of the bridge replacement project along Route 6 in Richmond Township, The bridge, which carries Route 6 over a tributary to North Elk Run, is located approximately 2.8 miles east of Route 660 in Charleston Township and approximately 2.5 miles west of Route 15 in Mansfield.



Route 6 will be switched to mainline Route 6 from the temporary roadway, while the contractor continues completing milling, paving, guiderail, and removal of the temporary roadway and temporary traffic signals. Motorist should expect a single lane condition controlled by flaggers during work hours through the fall of 2025.

North Schodac Road and South Schodac Road will remain closed until the end of the day Friday, September 12, 2025. The long-term detours will be removed at that time.
H&P Construction, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $5.4 million bridge replacement project. Work includes construction of a temporary structure, removal of the bridge over a tributary to North Elk Run, installation of a new concrete box culvert, approach work, line painting, and guide rail upgrades. There will be a winter shut down. Work on this project is expected to be completed in the Summer of 2026.
