Blossburg Fire and EMS Crews Respond to Accident In Hamilton Township

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, PA – On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, just after 8:00 PM Blossburg Borough Police Department was notified of a single vehicle accident involving a vehicle striking a deer in Hamilton Township.

Fire crews from Blossburg, and Liberty, as well as EMS units from Mansfield and Nelson were dispatched to the reported crash along the Morris Run Road near the Hemlock Lane intersection.

Responding Liberty units were were able to be recalled quickly by Blossburg Fire Department as Blossburg had enough units and personnel to handle the incident.

The vehicle involved in the accident was partially blocking the roadway when Blossburg fire personnel arrived on scene at 8:10 PM.

The occupants of the vehicle included three adults and one infant. Early reports indicated one person was injured, however, all individuals involved would later sign refusals. The responding medic unit was also recalled as they were not needed.

Shawn’s Towing out of Blossburg, PA, would remove the disabled vehicle. Blossburg fire crews and EMS units headed back to their station around 8:48 PM.

Blossburg Borough Police handled the paperwork dealing with this crash.
