MANSFIELD, PA – A Mansfield man placed in custody on Saturday, October 3, 2026, after he was involved in two separate incidents in early October. His monetary bail was set at $100,000 as his first incident involved him sending a death threat to the office of State Representative Jamie Walsh (R-117).
The Pennsylvania State Police Political Violence Threat Unit was contacted at the very beginning of October by the Pennsylvania State House Republican Caucus and the Office of State Representative Jamie Walsh (R-117) about a number of threatening messages that were sent to Walsh’s office.
The threatening messages were (allegedly) sent by 63-year-old Timothy David Geisler of Mansfield, PA.
State Police described the emails as “rambling” and “somewhat unhinged;”
The investigation revealed that Geisler (allegedly) sent an email to Walsh’s office that included several threatening messages, including one in which he threatened to kill Walsh and his family in “front of town,” on or around 7:18 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
According to court documents, the email contained dozens of threats of graphic violence against Walsh.

Court documents show that Geisler also allegedly left several voicemails with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office, where he identified himself and gave his address before threatening violence against lawmakers.
Mansfield Borough Police Department identified Timothy Geisler, and he was arrested sometime on Saturday, October 3, 2026, according to court documents.
Geisler has been charged with Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another – (1st Degree Misdemeanor).
Geisler is being held at the Tioga County Prison in Wellsboro, PA, after failing to post his $100,00.00 monetary bail.
His preliminary hearing has been set for Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 8:45 AM in front of Magisterial District Judge Tiffany Cummings.
In another incident, Timothy Geisler was charged with Communications with 911 – (2nd Degree Misdemeanor) and Disorderly Conduct-Unreasonable Noise – (3rd Degree Misdemeanor).

The second incident took place on Saturday, October 3rd as police were notified by Tioga County 911 Center that Geisler had called three times that day and claimed that he was the president of the United States and that he needed protective custody. It was noted that Geisler was standing by the Mansfield Inn on South Main Street and he was (allegedly) screaming profanities and continuing to call the 911 Center. Local borough police officers responded, however, they could not gain entrance to Geisler’s room at the Mansfield Inn or make contact with him. He was arrested later on and charged in both incidents.
His preliminary hearing will be held in conjunction with his previous case involving the death threat against a government official earlier in the week.
