Obituary of Ann Jeanette Burleigh Kennedy of Roseville, PA

Ann Jeanette Burleigh Kennedy, 89, of Roseville, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 22,2026, at the Green Home in Wellsboro, PA. Ann Jeanette was born at home to Frank and Ruth Christopher Burleigh on December 1,1936, near Austinville, PA.

She attended elementary school in Columbia Cross Roads, PA, and graduated from Troy High School. Shortly after graduation, Ann Jeanette and Ronald Kennedy tied the knot at the Baptist church in Roseville, PA. Besides helping on the family farm, she was employed by North Penn Telephone Co. and First Citizens Bank of Troy. She was also a member of the Roseville Independent Baptist church serving as organist and treasurer.

Ann Jeanette is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Ronald Kennedy, 2 daughters, Debbie (Larry) Baran of Moravia, NY, Lu Ann (Randy) Colton of Roseville, 2 sons, Dale Kennedy of Mainesburg, Pa., Jeff (Cindy) Kennedy of Roseville, 9 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren along with numerous great and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Lou (Tom) Judson of Newark Valley, NY and a sister-in-law, Daisy Case of Canandaigua, NY. Ann Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Donna Burleigh Corey, Lorraine Burleigh Metzger, Thomas Burleigh, and Kathy Burleigh Earl.

Ann Jeanette enjoyed get togethers with family, reading, camping with friends, and doing bead crafts which she gave as gifts. She was always up for a road trip and just taking a ride would make her happy. She was affectionately known as “Grandma Jet” to her grandchildren and “Aunt Annie” to her many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kindness, special baked goods (always tasting better because they were baked with love), and her quirky sayings which made people laugh. Goodbye for now, but not forever!
