
TIOGA COUNTY, PA – Nearly 600 electric customers were reported without power as of 11:10 PM on Tuesday evening, August 11, 2026. Thankfully hundreds had their power restored quickly as numbers rose and dropped quickly. Those who who still remained without power may not see their power restored until the early hours of Wednesday morning around 4:00 AM.
Several Tioga residents reported to FNN late Tuesday evening that they had lost power around 7:00 PM. Some of those individuals had their power restored around 11:00 PM as FNN was confirming the outage areas and numbers. Oddly enough the number was lower at that time, as there were 487 without power at that time. By 11:11 PM that number rose to 560 and that was after the power was restored to most of those living in Tioga along Route 287 near School Road and Bradshaw Road. However, a small few were still left in the dark.
There were 459 reported outages in the areas of Millerton and Mosherville along Route 328 and Route 549. Cause of these two large outage areas are unknown. Most of those outages were also restored around 11:19 PM.
By 11:19 PM the 560 outage number dropped rapidly down to 149. As you can see the number of outages fluctuated rapidly within minutes.
Those still without power are as follows –
- Jackson Township rose to 331, then dropped to 3 around 11:19 PM. Power to be restored around 4:00 AM.
- Lawrence Borough had 1 outage – Restoration time expected around 4:00 AM.*
- Lawrence Township reported 141 outages and that number did not change. 4:00 AM restoration time.
- Rutland Township had 9 reported outages but that number dropped to zero around 11:19 PM.
- Tioga Borough rose to 326 and dropped to 2 – Power expected to be restored around 4:00 AM.
- Tioga Township outages rose to 80 and dropped to 5. Power expected to be restored around 4:00 AM.
Presently there no answers provided on the outages that occurred around the county. 149 were still without power as of 1:38 PM.
