Carla Ann Mader, age 67, of Troy, PA, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born on Sunday, December 28, 1958, in Elmira, NY, the daughter of Robert Benjamin and Ruth (Weiskopff) Horton.
Carla was married to the late Michael Mader. She was a homemaker her entire life. Carla raised her kids and bonus kids who called her mom. She will be missed by all of her kids.
She is survived by her sons, Jason Mader of Williamsport, PA, Cory Mader of LA, Lance (Shawna) Mader of Covington, PA, and Virgil Miles of Blossburg, PA; two daughters, Jasmine (Justin Wisk) Mader and Nichole Scheerer of Mansfield, PA; nine grandchildren, Lance Mader, Jr., Rhianne Thompson, Landon Mader, Emily Mader, Aubrey Mader, Angel Mader, Allayna Thompson, Taylor Mader, and Linkin Thompson; and one great grandchild.
Carla was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a grandson, Warren Mader; and two brothers, John and Jim Horton.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 1pm to 2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Carl Linscott officiating.
