
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Mansfield women’s soccer (0-4) drop a tough battle on the road against the Lock Haven Bald Eagles (2-2-1), 0-2, on Tuesday (Sept. 16)
The Bald Eagles had opportunities throughout the first half but could not find the finishing touch.
The Mountaineers countered with strong defensive play and steady goalkeeping to keep Lock Haven off the board.
The Haven held a slight edge in possession and chances after halftime to sneak one past Serenity Esterline.
The Bald Eagles offense held strong collecting another goal for the books.
Samantha Newman pushed forward attempting to attack but could not find Sybil Thompson for the shot.
The game finished with a final score of 0-2 in favor of Lock Haven
Esterline collected 11 saves throughout the 90-minutes of play.
