Williamsport Bureau of Police Release – May 2, 2026.
WILLIAMSPORT, PA – On Saturday, May 2, 2026, around 2:54 PM, officers of the Williamsport Bureau of Police were dispatched to a residence in the 2600 block of W. 4th Street for a third party report of someone shot within and the gunman was reported to be still on scene.
Officers arrived on scene and due to the exigency of the situation, they made entry into the residence. Upon making entry into the residence, officers encountered four individuals within. It was quickly determined that there was no shooting victim inside and all residents were okay and safe.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the call to the Lycoming County Communications Center originated out of the area.
