WELLSBORO, PA – Two vehicles suffered damage in a two vehicle crash in Wellsboro Borough that occurred just before 4:14 PM, on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
The accident occurred at the intersection of East Ave and McInroy Street.
Wellsboro Police, fire and EMS crews immediately responded to the incident. Wellsboro fire personnel and police were on scene within a few minutes.
Both vehicles were able to be moved out of the roadway and into Akiko’s parking lot before fire personnel arrived on scene.
There were no reported injuries and only Engine 1-1 and an ambulance were requested to continue in to the scene by Wellsboro Command, as all other units were able to be recalled by 4:21 PM.
Wellsboro command was terminated within 15 minutes and fire crews were cleared to return back to their station at 4:33 PM with the exception of Wellsboro’s ambulance unit.
The drivers involved in the crash signed refusals and once that was completed the ambulance was then released to return back to their station.
Wellsboro Borough Police handled the crash investigation and a rollback was requested to remove one or both vehicles from the parking lot.
