LAWRENCEVILLE, PA – Lawrenceville Borough is under a water boil advisory due to a water main break that occurred around 6:30 PM, Thursday evening, April 9, 2026. The water main break affected Ryon Circle and Weaver Street in the borough. An area that has experienced a past water main break.

It is unsure if crews have completed the needed repairs at this time. However, there was a loss in positive pressure which means everyone in Lawrenceville is under a Boil Water Advisory. The loss of positive pressure can allow contaminants to enter the water distribution system through backflow by back-pressure or back-siphonage. This makes water unsafe to drink due to possible contaminants and bacteria that can enter the water.

Residents should boil their water for at least 2 minutes to make it safe for use. Use caution if transferring hot water to another container to use.

Please in the future, send Boil Water Advisories to FNN through Facebook messenger so the information can get out quicker to residents. FNN learned of this around 10:45 PM.
