ELMIRA, NY – Chief Tim Overly was sworn in as the new Fire Chief of the Elmira Fire Department. Chief Overly replaces former Chief Andrew Mallow who retired on Friday, March 20th after serving 27 years, in which he was the department’s chief for three and half years.
The new chief, Tim Overly, has put in years of hard work and dedication to the job and the community, and is now ready to take on the reins.
According to members of the Elmira Fire Departments, it’s great to see Overly step into this role as his experience and leadership will go a long way in continuing the strong tradition of the department.
