TIOGA COUNTY, PA – There were still 7 customers without power as of 10:00 AM, Monday, March 16, 2026.Keeping the power on seemed to be a problem from Sunday evening, March 15, 2026, and into Monday morning, as winds continued to wreck havoc on power lines throughout the day and into the evening. Many power lines were being brought down by falling limbs, trees or simply by strong winds. By early Monday morning, March 16, 2026, 11:30 PM there were nearly 2,000 without electric across a section of Tioga County, PA.

According to First Energy these areas were without power on Sunday evening into Monday morning;
- 1 in Covington Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM.
- 1 in Hamilton Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM.
- 4 in Jackson Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:30 AM.
- 43 Mansfield Borough – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM.
- 89 Richmond Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM.
- 48 Roseville Borough – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM. (Power went out 11:16 PM).
- 135 Rutland Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:30 AM.
- 147 Sullivan Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM.
First Energy reported 468 customer outages shortly after midnight. Tri-County Electric reported that 1,221 of their customers were without power in Tioga County, PA. While Wellsboro Electric had no reported outages as of 12:07 AM. With an estimated total of 1,689 Tioga County, PA, residents left in the dark.
By 3:00 AM, Monday, March 16, 2026, the outage number across the county was reduced. Here is the list of those still without power at that time – At 4:00 AM nearly all restoration times were pushed back.
- 1 Hamilton Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM. Pushed back to 6:00 AM.
- 125 Jackson Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM. Pushed back to 6:00 AM.
- 2 Mansfield Borough – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM. Pushed back to 6:00 AM.
- 1 Putnam Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:30 AM. Pushed back to 6:30 AM.
- 4 Richmond Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 5:30 AM. Pushed back to 6:00 AM.
- 54 Roseville Borough – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM. Pushed back to 6:00 AM.
- 39 Rutland Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 4:00 AM. Pushed back to 6:00 AM.
- 7 Sullivan Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 5:30 AM. Remained the same.

At 3:15 AM First Energy reported that approximately 233 customers were without power still.. Slightly more than half of the original outages had already had their power restored. However, the remaining outages number did not drop as expected when 4:00 AM rolled around. Instead, the restoration time for the 233 remaining outages were pushed back by two hours. So hopefully the remaining outages will be restored between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM. As for Tri-County, they had only 75 customers still without power out of the original 1,221 outages.
As of 10:00 AM there were still 7 outages reported in Tioga County, PA and more harsh weather to hit the county and surrounding areas this afternoon.
- 1 Richmond Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 11:30 AM.
- 6 Sullivan Township – Estimated time of restoration – Monday, 11:30 AM.
Just to note, a power line was reported down in Putnam Township in the area of 62 Trout Alley shortly after 11:07 PM, Blossburg firefighters went out to investigate and they confirmed the report when they arrived on scene at 11:20 PM. The power line came down in the front yard at that location. Blossburg crews made share the scene was safe and that Penelec was notified about the situation before they headed back to their station at 11:32 PM.
