Driver Injured When He Crashes into Tree

WESTFIELD, PA – Early Saturday morning,, March 14, 2026, a loud crash woke up a Westfield resident at 312 Church Street. When the resident looked out he saw that a vehicle had struck a tree across the street. That resident immediately made a call to 911.

Around 2:13 AM fire crews from Crary Hose Company, Knoxville-Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department, and Clymer Hose Company, as well as an ambulance from Sabinsville all responded to the single vehicle accident.

Clymer Hose Company fire personnel arrived on scene at 2:16 AM and reported that the vehicle was off the roadway. A minute later a Westfield firefighter arrived on scene and established Westfield Command.

Responding Clymer and Knoxville fire units were able to be recalled by 2:18 AM, as they were not needed, as additional Crary Hose firefighters arrived on scene.

The driver involved in the crash was injured and was found on the passenger side of the vehicle. The driver suffered a leg injury and some minor cuts on his face. The driver was agitated and alert as he spoke with firefighters.

The driver was transported to UPMC Wellsboro Hospital for treatment of his injures.

White’s Towing arrived on at 3:22 AM and the vehicle was removed from the accident scene.

Crary Hose Company units were able able to return to their station by 3:33 AM.
