HARRISBURG, PA — Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against two brothers regarding trafficking of fentanyl, crack cocaine and other drugs, and illegal possession of firearms.
Rodney Howard, 60, and Andre Howard, 62, both of Pittsburgh were charged with numerous felonies following a recent search of their Shetland Street home by Office of Attorney General agents, assisted by Ross Township police, Robinson Township police, and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office.

Officials seized bricks of fentanyl, 1,200 fentanyl pills, 10.5 ounces of crack cocaine, and other drugs, as well as two handguns and a shotgun.
Rodney Howard’s bail was set at $50,000 cash; Andre Howard’s bail is $10,000 cash.
“Our Region Five agents, along with partners, continue to take drugs and firearms off the streets in western Pennsylvania at rates that should offer encouragement to residents who want to live without fear of violence,” Attorney General Sunday said. “These brothers — convicted felons — were pushing poisons into neighborhoods and were willing to illegally carry firearms to protect their trade.”
Last month, Attorney General Sunday, along with partners, hosted a press event at the OAG’s Region Five headquarters in North Huntingdon to announce a record number of firearms seizures in January. So far this year, OAG agents and collaborators have seized more than 50 firearms in connection with drug trafficking investigations in Region Five, which includes Allegheny, Fayette, Somerset, and Westmoreland counties.
In all, law enforcement seized from the Howards’ Shetland Street home:
- A Ruger 57 handgun
- A Lorcin .380 handgun
- A FMJ Duckton .410 shotgun
- 1,200 fentanyl pills (approximate street value: $12,000)
- 15 bricks of fentanyl (street value: $3,000)
- 13 grams of raw fentanyl (street value: $2,600)
- 300 grams of crack cocaine (street value: $30,000)
- 16 grams Psilocybin mushrooms
- 450 grams of marijuana
- $2,284 cash
The cases will be prosecuted by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
