Obituary of Clarence Eugene Tompkins Jr of Knoxville, PA

Clarence Eugene Tompkins Jr., 60, of Knoxville, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was born on Sunday, December 19, 1965, in Wellsboro, PA, to the late Clarence E. Tompkins and Larene (Perigo) Tompkins.

He was a 1985 graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School and worked as a valve technician at Repsol Oil and Gas.

Clarence is survived by his devoted mother, Larene (Perigo) Rollins of Knoxville, PA. He leaves behind his caring children: Brystal (Bruce) Wilson of Friendship, NY, Brandon (Cynthia) Tompkins of Addison, NY, Breanna Tompkins of Addison, NY, Olivia Tompkins of Big Flats, NY, and his grandchildren: Sawyer, Barrett, Greysen, Baylee, and Bryson. He is also survived by his sister Martha (Jamie) Sweet of Knoxville, PA, nephew Logan Sweet of Selinsgrove, PA, niece McKenzie Sweet of Danville, PA, his significant other, Claudia Metcalf of Potter Brook, PA, and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his infant son, Cole Tompkins, his father Clarence E. Tompkins, and his loving step-father Arling (Cub) Rollins.

Clarence enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing on the lake, and taking joy rides in his Jeep. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
