Martin “Marty” Fisher, age 60, of Elmira Heights, NY, soared to his heavenly home while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was born on Thursday, August 26, 1965, in Elmira, NY, a son of Walter and Barbara J. (Brown) Fisher.
Marty worked as a beekeeper for Draper’s Bees and was a member of Jackson Summit Baptist Church.
He enjoyed debating and researching online, nature, animals, home brewing, and culinary. Marty was an intelligent, sincere, loyal, and loving person with a great sense of humor.
Marty is survived by his father and stepmother, Walter and Cindy Fisher of Lawrenceville, PA; mother, Barbara Fisher of Velva, ND; life partner, Kenny Bittner of Millerton, PA; a brother, Kevin (Jennifer) Fisher of Elmira, NY; a sister, Laurinda (Terry) Roloson of Ruso, ND; a nephew, Jimmy Rake of Elmira, NY; beloved aunts, Charlotte Brown, Shirley Brown, and Bernadette Chiaramonte; an uncle, Carl Fisher; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Jeannette Brown and Kenneth and Luella Fisher; two aunts, Joan Weir and Minnie Peters; and four uncles, Russell Brown, Douglas Brown, Thomas Brown, and Ronald Fisher.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Wellsboro Cemetery in Wellsboro, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to Millerton Fire Department 16 North Rd.
