Arthur “Butch” Sherman, age 79, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at his home. He was born on Sunday, July 28, 1946, in Wellsboro, PA, the son of Betty (Wicks) Sherman.
Butch was married to Debora (Sherman) Sherman. He was self-employed as a building contractor. Butch enjoyed riding motorcycle, NASCAR, his family, and spending time at Seneca Lake.
He is survived his wife; a son, Alan Sykora of Mansfield, PA; two daughters, Faye Packard of Tioga, PA, and Pam (Chris) Cummings of Mansfield, PA; six grandchildren, Jarret Packard, Caitlin Packard, Connor Sykora, Carley (Brandon) Drake, Alexus Cummings, and Collin Cummings; a great granddaughter, Elnora Drake; nieces and nephews, Penny (Randy) Heffner of Tioga, PA, Bobby (Joan) Stone of Tioga, PA; great nieces and nephews; RJ (Nicole) Heffner, Mark (Cynthia) Gee, Ashley Moya, Danielle (Jason) Bovee, Kayla Hopper, Shelby and Macenzie Button; father-in-law, Walter Sherman; brothers-in-law, Rodney (Pam) Sherman, Mark Sherman, Raymond (Tammy) Sherman, Pete (Tammy) Sherman, and Hank (Kelly) Sherman.
Butch was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou and Bob Stone; niece, Sherry Gee; aunt, Evalina Tongue; cousin, Myron Tongue; and mothers-in-law, Priscilla Sherman and Mary Sherman.
Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 11am to 12pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA.
