Norbert W. Schneller, 68 of Sabinsville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home. He was born Tuesday, July 9, 1957, in Wellsboro, PA, and was a son to the late Henry and Elsie (Spitzberg) Schneller.
He graduated from Cowanesque Jr.-Sr. High School in 1975 and then graduated from Williamsport Community College in 1977. Soon after graduation Norbert went to work at the Patterson Lumber in Galeton, PA, where he remained until his retirement in 2025.
Norbert is survived by his brother, Carlo (Anita) Schneller of Mansfield, PA; niece, Martiena (Thomas “Tuck”) Seid of Washington, DC; nephew, Ehren (Jazrielle) Schneller of Moravia, NY; and great nieces, Elia Seid, Adalee and Maisy Schneller. He was preceded by both his parents and a sister, Astrid Schneller-Davis.
Norbert was active in boy scouting, first with Troop 53 where he reached the rank of Eagle Scout and then he also served as an Assistant Scout Master and Unit Commissioner. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #826 of Galeton, PA.
He loved to travel, listen to music, photography, and he volunteered many hours each year at the Woodsman Carnival in Cherry Springs State Park.
For Norbert’s wishes, there will be no services held. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
