Tri-Co Connections Surpasses 9,000 Fiber Subscribers, Building on Its Legacy as Pennsylvania’s First Electric Cooperative With a Complete Systemwide Fiber Network.

MANSFIELD, PA — Tri-Co Connections (TCC), the region’s first and only rural cooperative–owned fiber broadband provider, has reached a major milestone: 9,000 homes and businesses now connected to high‐speed fiber internet.
The achievement marks years of dedicated work by construction crews, technicians, installers, customer service representatives, and dozens of behind‐the‐scenes team members whose shared goal has been consistent: to bring world‐class connectivity to even the most remote corners of northern Pennsylvania.
“Reaching 9,000 connections isn’t just a number — it’s a reflection of the trust our members place in us every day as a team they can count on,” said Aaron Young, President & co‐CEO. From telehealth appointments to online classes and modern farming tools, TCC’s fiber internet is providing families and businesses new opportunities to thrive.
Technology That Strengthens Community
While technology continues to evolve, Tri-Co Connections views it as a tool that enhances — not replaces — the moments that matter. “A strong connection gives people something priceless: time,” added Cat Rush, Director of Marketing. “Time saved from running errands, time freed from outdated processes, and more time for the people and activities that matter the most.
Looking Ahead
Tri-Co Connections commitment to its members and community doesn’t stop at 9,000 connections. Planning continues for system improvements, expanded off-system capacity, enhanced reliability, and new services designed to support the broader community. “We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but even more excited about what’s ahead,” said Young. “When communities work together, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish.”
