Obituary of Bonnie Jean Harvey (Keil) of Covington, PA

Bonnie Jean Harvey (Keil), age 80, of Covington, PA,, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was born in Covington on Sunday, September 16, 1945, the daughter of the late Leslie and Pauline Harvey.

Bonnie lived a full and active life, marked by deep love for her family, her faith, and the outdoors. She was an avid golfer and a proud member of Corey Creek Golf Course, where she enjoyed both the game and the friendships it brought. Bonnie also had a passion for bridge and was a longtime member of the Elmira Bridge Club. Bonnie was a devoted member of the Covington Church of Christ (Disciples).

She found great joy in staying active—biking, walking, gardening, and spending time outdoors—and especially treasured moments with her grandchildren.

Bonnie loved vacations at the beach and had a special place in her heart for her dogs – Fifi, Smoky, Lacy and Sophie. 

She was the daughter of dairy farmers, a background that shaped her strong work ethic and appreciation for community. Professionally, Bonnie retired from AgChoice Farm Credit, where she served with distinction as an Executive Loan Officer.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wayne Andrew (Dawn) Ford, Michael Leslie (Melissa) Ford, and Renee M. (Brad) Bixler; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Corey) Johnson, Lauren Ford, Jason Ford, and Ethan Ford; great grandchild, Tate Johnson; sister, Susan (Sam, Sr.) Wells and brother, Larry Harvey; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. 

In addition to her parents, Leslie and Paulie, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Carol Harvey. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Covington Church of Christ (Disciples), 2225 N Williamson Rd., Covington, PA 16917.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, at Freeberg Funeral Home, 120 N Williamson Rd., Blossburg, PA 16912. Bonnie’s funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 12:00 noon, with Rev. Kathy Hindman officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest in Gray Cemetery, Covington, PA, www.freebergfh.com.
