Driver Flees After Rolling Vehicle – Arrested For Suspicion of DUI

BRADFORD COUNTY, PA – On December 25, 2025, around 7:58 PM, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a single vehicle accident on Shaffers Notch Road, near the intersection with Heath Road in Terry Township, PA.

According to police, a 2024 Ford Explorer operated by 35-year-old Austen A. McGee of Dushore, PA, was traveling west along Shaffers Notch Road, when the he crossed over the center lane, exited the left shoulder, struck an embankment, rolled over, and then came to rest on the drivers side of the vehicle in a ditch. The vehicle suffered disabling damage.

Police stated that McGee fled the scene of the crash and he was ultimately located approximately 1/4 mile away with suspected minor injuries. He would be transported by EMS to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, to be evaluated.

Austen McGee was subsequently arrested for the suspicion of DUI.

Terry Township Fire, Fulmers Towing, and Guthrie EMS assisted on scene.
