Obituary of Allen Keith Fritz, Sr., of Elkland, PA

Allen Keith Fritz, Sr., age 88 of Elkland, PA passed away in the early morning on December 30, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on Monday, July 12, 1937, in Elkland, PA, and was a son to the late Grant Tracy and Helen (Zerby) Fritz.

Allen married Sandra Kay Orr on July 27, 1956 right here in Elkland, spending 69 loving years building a life and family together. He attended Elkland Schools and later in life became the Supervisor at Tyoga Container before retiring.

Allen was a loving husband and father and he was always family oriented. He said family came first and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Allen was a jack of all trades; he would putter around his woodshop handcrafting anything he put his mind to or tinker away on anything with an engine. In his younger years, he was a pit crew member and helped with stock cars at the Woodhull Raceway. He was a huge Bill Elliott fan, having memorabilia like hats and shirts all around his shop. He also was an avid Go-Cart racer up until four years ago having raced at Allegheny Memorial Speedway.

Allen was also a well-known social butterfly. Nobody was a stranger and he’d make friends wherever he went. He enjoyed telling dad jokes, racing go-carts, camping, sitting by giant campfires, drinking from his endless coffee pot, and being near his loving dog, Bridget.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Fritz; son, Allen K. (Cheryl) Fritz, Jr. of Claysburg, PA; daughters, Penny (Carlton) Mcguire of Gloucester, VA and Charity Beebe (Chris Kincella) of Savona, NY; grandchildren, Mellissa (Josh) Metz, Jamie Bowers, Tyrell Fritz, Ashley (Nicholas) Furlow, Dakota Fritz, Rachel (Alex) Pastrick, and Jacie Beebe (Jacob Sullivan); several great grandchildren; brother, Fred Tracy of Elkland, PA; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by both his parents; son-in-law, Steve Beebe; a granddaughter, Samantha Walters; and brothers and sisters.

Per Allen’s wishes, no services are to be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with more information to follow.
