1 Injured and Utility Pole Snapped Off After Being Struck By Car

KNOXVILLE, PA – A single vehicle accident sent one person to the hospital late Tuesday morning, December 23, 2025. The crash occurred around 11:30 AM near 6067 Route 49 in Deerfield Township.

Fire crews from Knoxville and Osceola responded to the accident as did an ambulance from Sabinsville.

Osceola fire personnel arrived on scene first around 11:48 AM and confirmed that a car had struck a utility pole and had come to rest in a field. The utility pole was snapped off causing lines to come down as well.

The female driver in her 20’s was injured in the hard impact crash and her car was heavily damaged.

The woman was transported to UPMC Wellsboro Hospital by Sabinsville ambulance crew for further evaluation and treatment of her injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation into the accident.

White’s Towing was requested to remove the vehicle once police finished their report on the incident.

Once the roadway was cleared remaining fire crews were cleared to head back to their stations by 12:37 PM.
