BLOSSBURG, PA – Early Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025, Blossburg fire crews along with a rescue unit out Mansfield responded to a single vehicle accident around 7:42 AM as snow fell across the county.
The crash was reported along the Route 15 Highway in the northbound passing lane where a vehicle came to rest blocking that lane near Mile Marker 172 just before the bridge at the North Williamson Road overpass.
Mansfield Hose Company’s Rescue unit and crew were recalled by Blossburg Command, as there was no need for them to travel all the way to Blossburg, when Blossburg crews could handle the situation without help.
Early reports indicated that the male driver was not injured in the incident. That information was confirmed by arriving Blossburg fire personnel, who reached the scene by 7:52 AM.
Shawn Towing out of Blossburg, PA, was requested by the male driver and Pennsylvania State Police were notified of the driver’s wishes. The towing company arrived at the bridge by 8:13 AM.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and the roadway was cleared at 8:26 AM. Blossburg fire crews were next to head out and return to their station.
