James Colegrove, age 88, of Allenhurst, GA, formerly of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home. He was born on Friday June 11, 1937, in Mansfield, PA, a son of Dennis and Harriett (Cole) Colegrove.
James was married to Dorothy (Cox) Colegrove who passed away on October 13, 2025.
He made a career out of serving in the United States Army and was a member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church. James was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion in Morris Run, Arnot Sportsmen’s Club, and AUSA Golfing.
James is survived by his daughter, Christine (Andrew) Standard of Allenhurst, GA; grandchildren Caeden James Colegrove, Parker Myles Colegrove and Nicole Leilani Gyger; a brother, Lloyd Colegrove; and two sisters, Betty Mason of Georgetown, TN, and Jessie (Chaunay) Cline of Silver Spring, MD. He was preceded in death by his wife; a son James Colegrove, Jr.; and a sister, Helen Hesterlee.
