Richard J. (Pete) Hall Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 30th, 2025. Pete was born on November 28th, 1942, to Alice Evans Hall and Richard Hall Sr. in Peckville, PA.
He graduated from high school in 1960. Following high school, Pete attended Mansfield State College (now Mansfield University) and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Pete also served in the Army and Pennsylvania National Guard.
He taught sixth grade at Blossburg Elementary for 37 years.
Pete coached many sports over the years including Track and Field for over 40 years. He was also the Athletic Director at North Penn High School.
ete was very active in the community and ran the Blossburg Pool. He was a member of the Blossburg Pool Association, The Recreation Board, The Jones Foundation, as well as a member of the Kiwanis Club.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Alice and Janice and nephews, Rick Guagliardo and Jamey Moore. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Georgette Hall. Three children Jeffrey Hall, Kimberly Hall and Derek Hall (Kelsey). Eight grandchildren Jake, Luke, Chase and Olivia Hall, Nadiya Hairston and Barry Hairston “Jr”, Jackson Hall and Avery Hall. And a special niece Lynn Mullen.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at “The Pit”, Unangst Memorial Gymnasium at Blossburg Elementary School on Saturday, September 20th from 4-7 pm.
