WESTFIELD, PA – Emily Lowe of Westfield, PA, has had her first book published and it is already available as an eBook, but as of Wednesday, November 19th, it is also now available as a softcover book for purchase on Amazon. Her book will also be sold globally and within the Ingram and Barnes and Noble system. Although other publishers offered to publish the book, Emily simply felt that Amazon was the way to go as she had more control of what was done with her book.
Lowe was born and raised in Wareham, Massachusetts, but she moved to Westfield, Pennsylvania, back in 2020 to be closer to family after completing a two year Agricultural Science Degree at Morrisville State College.
Parts of Lowe’s adult poetry book reflect her healing through her personal tribulations and experiences of dealing with a hard divorce. As she wrote down her feelings of dealing with all the emotions that come with a divorce, she found inner peace.
Over time, as Emily continued to write, her family and friends continued to persuade her to publish some of her poems in a book. As she thought about it, she realized she adored the new words that hit the pages before her each night. Lowe finally decided to create a book of poetry to reassure people that they are not the only ones struggling in life. That finished book is titled Shine and Shatter. Emily’s book consists of fiction and nonfiction poems. It allows the reader to find the poems that relate to them personally and how those poems move them. She wants readers to know that it does not matter how much you Shine or Shatter, you just need to keep moving forward in a beneficial way. One cannot live a life without both Shine and Shatter.
