List of Free Thanksgiving Meals Available in Tioga County, PA – These have been provided to FNN.
TIOGA COUNTY, PA – There are a number of available free Community Thanksgiving dinner/meal being offered around Tioga County, PA. This is an excellent time of year to be thankful and to gather together with others to enjoy a fellowship, laughter and a delicious meal. The whole family, a couple or even a single individual not wishing to spend the holiday alone, are welcome.
Although FNN has shared a few of these of events already, here is the present list;
Saturday, November 22nd –
- Millerton Wesleyan Church 35th Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner – This will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, (One Seating only) at 5:30 PM in the church located at 5174 Main Street in Millerton PA. Doors open at 5:15 PM. The meal will include – Turkey – Potatoes – Stuffing – Corn – Green Beans Squash – Cranberry Sauce – Rolls/Butter Apple Pie – Pumpkin Pie -Cookies – Cupcakes. There will be entertainment at 6:30 PM with Patchwork GenZ Puppets Show “Sendin’ Out Love.” Any questions call 570-537-2465 or send an email to millwes@empireaccess.net.
- FREE Take-Out/Delivery Thanksgiving Meal By First Baptist Church in Westfield – This will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, (Take-out/Delivery only). This event will take place at the Westfield Baptist Church located at at 122 Church St. in Westfield from noon to 3:00 PM. There will be no dine-in options this year, however, delivery is available within an 8-mile radius of Westfield.
To request for home delivery, please call 814-367-5315 or message the church’s Facebook page, by 8:00 PM. on Friday, Nov. 21st. Be sure to provide name, phone number, delivery address and number of meals needed. Deliveries will be made between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and someone must be home to receive the meal(s).
Tuesday, November 25th –
- The Humble Bumble Project is offering local Tioga County, PA, cancer patients and their families a FREE holiday meal complete with all the traditional favorites. If you or someone you know is a Tioga County resident currently receiving active treatments, please contact the Humble Bumble Project by Saturday, November 22nd, to request your meal(s) for Tuesday, November 25th by calling (570) 439-6485 or email info@humblebumbleproject.com. This will be a Pick-up event and a location for pick-ups will be provided at a later time, as the organization has to see how many meals will be needed before they can select a pick-up location. For those who register, you can check in with their Facebook page as the update will be noted there.
Thursday, November 27th –
- 22nd Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner – Will be held on Thursday, November 27th at Holy Child Church In Mansfield located at 237 South Main Street in Mansfield, PA. The following options apply – Delivery, Pick-up and Eat-in. (Delivery available to homebound residents in Blossburg, Covington and Mansfield). Everyone needs to register by Friday, November 21st by calling 570 662-3568 so enough food can be made to serve everyone. Remember to select one of the options above when calling, leave your name, address (for deliveries) and a contact number if you leave a message. Pick-up Time is slated for 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Dine-in time is 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and Delivery time will be noted when you make your reservation(s). - First Baptist Church in Wellsboro – On Thursday, November 27th, the First Baptist Church in Wellsboro which is located at 25 Central Avenue is offering a Thanksgiving meal for Dine-in from noon to 2:00 PM. Delivery is available by calling 570-724-4681 no later than Tuesday, Nov. 25th. Be sure to provide name, phone number, delivery address and number of meals needed.
- Rosie’s Restaurant – The Knapp family welcomes everyone to Rosie’s Restaurant on Thursday, November 27th located at 6 Wellsboro St. in Tioga, for a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. While the meal is offered at no cost, donations are appreciated and will go toward providing Christmas gifts for families in need.
