Margaret A. “Peggy” Kump, 86, of Wellsboro, PA, formerly of Knoxville, PA, died on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Country Terrace, in Wellsboro. Born on Thursday, October 26, 1939, in Elmira, NY. She was the daughter of James Aitken and Esther Marian Edgcomb Smith.
On June 14, 1958, in Westfield, PA, she married Eugene J. Kump, who survives. She was a graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School. Peggy enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Surviving besides her husband, Gene, are: three children, Michael Kump of Westfield, Timothy Kump of Towanda, and Lisa (Lance) Wattles of Wellsboro; son-in-law, John Brenner of Middlebury Center; three grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Hannah Davis, and Marisa Miles; two great-grandchildren, Theo Davis and Tessa Miles; a niece and a nephew.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Lynda Brenner; and a sister, Lois Taft.
