MANSFIELD, Pa. – Weston Bellows was named Collegiate Sprint Football League Co-Offensive Player of the Week after his record-breaking performance against Chestnut Hill, the league announced Monday Nov. 3.
Bellows rushed for 253 yards, which ties the Mansfield sprint football record for yards in a game. It tied the mark set by David Butler in 2019, also against Chestnut Hill.
Bellows accounted for two scores on the ground, 15 return yards and had a 19 yards receiving. His 287 yards broke the Mansfield sprint football all-purpose yards in a game record.
Bellows also had a 28 yard touchdown pass in the game.
Matt Machmer earned an honorable mention CSFL honors after a receiving touchdown and an interception in the game.
The Mountaineers return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 as they welcome Army West Point to Karl Van Norman Field for Senior Day.
