Fiorello engaged in a course of conduct threatening a local lawyer and his staff, Realtor, and a school in Sayre, PA, through emails last year. Officers Derek Watson and Nikki Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department, along with Officer Clint Vermilya of the Towanda Borough Police Department, investigated the cases.

Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department initially investigated the threats against the Realtor and connected them to the threats against the lawyer, based on a common fact pattern. Later threats against the school were tied into this investigation by Officer Nikki Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department, as well.

It was reported that Fiorello had made three bomb threats toward the school in Sayre, PA, back in August. These threats caused the school to evacuate on the first day of school, and the school remained closed for the rest of the week due to Fiorello’s threats.

“This was a very difficult case to prosecute, the threats were made by email, and of course the Defendant did not use his real name. I credit law enforcement for their persistence in investigating this case,” stated the District Attorney, Wilson.
