LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, PA – A vehicle accident was reported to the Tioga County 911 Dispatch Center just before 2:00 PM by a vehicle’s On-Star service on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The dispatcher was able to talk to the NY driver who was operating a pickup truck involved in the incident.
The two vehicle crash involved the pickup truck and a tractor trailer near Mile Marker 167 along Route 15 Highway in the northbound lane.
Fire and EMS units from Liberty and Blossburg were dispatched by 2:00 PM. Responding Blossburg crews were recalled a few minutes later by Liberty fire personnel who had arrived on scene at 2:06 PM..
Early reports indicated that there were no injuries in this accident near the quarry and Liberty personnel confirmed that information as the the pickup driver declined treatment.
Not much else is known about the accident as Pennsylvania is handling the investigation into the incident.
A towing company arrived on scene with a rollback to tow away the pickup truck at 2:43 PM.
The truck was removed and the roadway cleared by 2:50 PM, at which time all Liberty fire units were able to return back to their station.
