
RICHMOND TOWNSHIP, PA – Early Sunday morning, September 7, 2025, Mansfield fire crews, as well as an ambulance from Mansfield responded to a single vehicle accident in Richmond Township.
At 12:49 AM a rescue unit from the Mansfield Hose Company arrived at the crash scene located along the southbound lane of the Route 15 Highway near Mile Marker 183.
The vehicle involved in the accident struck the guide rail before coming to a rest in the left lane. Due to the center barrier cable being damaged a representative from PennDOT was notified.
A passerby had stopped to assist the injured driver and placed a call to the Tioga County 911 Dispatch Center. According to the passerby, the injured driver did not recall what happened.
The male victim was transported to UPMC Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of his injuries. His vehicle was towed from the scene by American Towing.
All Mansfield Hose Company crews were able to head back to their station by 1:53 AM.
Pennsylvania State Police is handling the investigation into this accident. If new information becomes available it will be added to this article.
